Book 400 is Almost Here!

I cannot believe that on July 27th, 2021, I will read my 400th children’s book for you! It’s the very quirky Avocado Baby by Hello It’s Marcia, fan favourite - John Burningham.

This has been an incredible experience. Sharing my favourite books and discovering new ones while getting to know you and your families has been a highlight since April 2020. I’d promised that I’d keep reading until the pandemic was over. I did not know what I was getting myself into. There have been times when it was hard to keep up while doing my actual work (directing audio books, acting, teaching); even having to cut back from every day down to five days a week.

I’m about to go into another busy period as my play Serving Elizabeth begins rehearsal at the Stratford Festival the same day that book 400 is posted. It’s a challenge I’m happy to face.
